O’Flynn Innovation at the AfPP Residential Conference 2017

O’Flynn Innovation are busy preparing for the 2017 AfPP Residential conference in the University of York from 10th – 13th August.    The Annual Residential Conference attracts a wide audience of over 500 professionals who work within the perioperative arena and has grown to become the UK’s leading perioperative event. 

Conor and Kerry will have the ScrubEx unit at the show, so be sure to stop by to Stand 24 to say hello and get a first-hand demonstration on how ScrubEx works and how it can control the distribution of hospital scrubs, amongst its other benefits.

Winner of the O’Flynn Medical Raffle at the 2017 INMO Operating Department Nurses Annual Conference

As part of this year’s conference, attendees were invited to use ScrubEx to demonstrate the speed in which the unit can dispense a set of scrubs.  As well as the scrubs, a raffle ticket for a  chance to win a Luxury food hamper was also dispensed.

After a busy few days there were lots of entries to the raffle and the lucky winner was…………… Judy Dominico, Staff Nurse, Mater Private Hospital, who won the Luxury Food Hamper.  Congratulations Judy!

Hamper Winner at Annual NHS Innovation in Facilities Management Expo 2016

O’Flynn Innovation attended the Annual NHS Innovation in Facilities Management Expo 2016 on Tuesday 13th December where we showcased ScrubEX. We met some lovely people and everyone was invited to pick out an exciting fact about our ScrubEx product, they were then entered into a prize draw to win a luxury Irish Hamper.

The winning ticket was picked by Guy Whiffen, Event Organiser (pictured) and the lucky winner was Paul Macgregor from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

We delivered the hamper to Paul on Tuesday who was delighted to win.

ScrubEx Expansion at St George’s University Hospitals NHS

This week St George’s Hospital in Totting, which is one of the UKs Principal teaching hospitals, have had a new ScrubEx machine installed in their Emergency Department. St George’s have been using the ScrubEx machines in their main theatres for over a year and have seen a real benefit which is why they have  installed another ScrubEx unit to control scrubs in their emergency department.

sgh_logo_ftSt George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of 1.3 million across southwest London. A large number of services, such as cardiothoracic medicine and surgery, neurosciences and renal transplantation, also cover significant populations from Surrey and Sussex, totaling around 3.5 million people.

Due to the successful roll out of ScrubEx in their Main Theatres and Emergency Department, St Georges will look to roll out more ScrubEx units in the near future in other departments with high scrubs usage.

ScrubEx Demonstration at The Great Hall at Barts Hospital, 13th December 2016

The concept for this event has been driven by a desire to challenge the norms in FM and find new and innovative solutions to issues faced by those working in FM, in healthcare and further afield. The event has been designed to explore five core components in which innovation can drive an improvement in patient care, while reducing cost and improving compliance in the areas of Estates Services, Facilities Services, PFI Services, Sustainability and Risk & Compliance.

O’Flynn Innovation are leading industry specialists in the supply of automated equipment to the healthcare sector and are currently recruiting a CUSTOMER SERVICE ENGINEER for their operations in London UK

Position:          Customer Service Engineer

Location:         London, UK (Greater London)

Salary:             TBA

Contract:         6 month Fixed Term Contract with a view to permanency upon successful completion of the probationary period.

The suitable candidate will require the following skillset;

  • An electrical/electronic background (component level repair)
  • System / machine fault diagnosis and repair
  • A good understanding of IT networks as the systems are networked through to a hosting website
  • A good understanding of system programming for installations.
  • Ability to co-ordinate various aspects of system implementation
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Drivers Licence

Duties for this role will consist of;

  • Regular contact with new and existing accounts within the London and Greater London areas to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Bi-annual Preventative Maintenance on existing systems.
  • Project Management for the implementation of systems to new accounts.
  • Defining Customer Support processes within the organisation
  • Undertaking projects to improve customer experience.

May suit candidate with knowledge in circuitry / instrumentation / mechanical engineering.

The position is available immediately where full training on the units, processes and network systems will be provided.
